The
BBT's, billionths of billionths, and inexplicability ( inexplicably ) excuses,
according to L. Krauss ( Lawrence Krauss )
I am not in any way, not even in any itsy-bitsy infinitesimal way, a proponent
of, supporter of, nor believer in - the #BBT.
That said ( irrespective of my unwillingness to “accept” or otherwise "believe in" the BBT ) I find troubling to read of it being depicted in such a way.
The BBT, in so far as I've ever understood, makes no claims of – “Compressing gases forming stars”, or even forming a star. Now, I'm sure the narcissistic #OEC / “atheists” who may respond, or perhaps have already responded, will shred my description... that's OK. What the BBT alleges, in a nutshell is, as L. Krauss explains it, includes the predecessor ever-compressing dot of “nothing” to the #BBT, as well as the #Singularity ( a.k.a. Inflation ) progressing from the BBT.
The Singularity
A #DotOfNothing, a dot of ever -compressing, as it collapsed in on itself, pure, raw energy, smaller than 1*10^-45 ( a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth the size of a pencil lead, a.k.a. "nothing" for all intents and purposes ) when it could no longer contain itself, the ever-collapsing dot of energy began inexplicably to implode, in on itself, resulting in unfathomably rapid expansion ( expansion of this dot of "nothing" the Singularity, was allegedly at rates so rapid that the likes of which are the makings of a bad sci-fi shows ) rates exceeding 137 Octillion ( 137*10^29 ) times faster than the "known" "constant", or "maximum Universal Speed Limit¹", of The Speed of Light, "c".¹
How fast did the
Singularity expand, you may ask? Well, also according to Krauss,
This dot of pure, raw energy, smaller than 1*10^-45 ( a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth ) the size of a pencil lead, according to Krauss³, very, very rapidly, "in an instant"³ expanded to about the size of a golf ball. How long is an instant? Ask Krauss! About 1*10^-27 micro-seconds, thus this initial expansion from a dot of "nothing" to something the size of a golf ball required an expansion rate of about c.~ 137 Octillion ( 137*10²⁹ ) times faster than the "known" "constant", and maximum Universal Speed Limit¹, of The Speed of Light, "c"¹.
But Krauss explains elsewhere⁴ that in about 1*10^-27 micro-seconds ( about a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth of a micro-second... ) after this dot of "nothing" stopped collapsing in on itself, it began to expand. - "... [The universe] went from the size of an atom to the size of a basketball..."⁴ From something smaller than the size of an atom, to the size of basketball in about a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth of a micro-second? From something smaller than the size of an atom, to grow to the size of a golf ball, in a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth of a micro-second would require exceeding the Universal Speed Limit¹ by c.~ 137 Octillion times... so how fast was this expansion to the size of a basketball, within a billionth, of a billionth, of a billionth of a micro-second?
Well, a basketball,
by volume, is about 183 times greater than the volume of a golf ball.
So? So, this alleged expansion from a dot of “nothing” smaller than an
atom, to the size of a basketball, within a billionth, of a billionth, of a
billionth of a micro-second, would have to be c.~ 183 times 137 Octillion times
faster than the Universal Speed Limit¹, “c”!

Damn, that's FAST!
But hey, the light from a star ( Abell 1835 IR1619 ) allegedly some c.~ 14 billion light-years away, could NEVER be seen on Earth in a mere 6,000 years, because - the Universal Speed Limit¹, "c", cannot, ever, be exceeded. Cannot be exceeded, that is, unless one is making the necessary excuses and exceptions for the inflation of the BBT during the Singularity! Alrighty then!
But that's not all, this newly “beginning to very rapidly expand” thing, the beginnings of the BBT, was still comprised of pure, raw energy... no matter, none. Not yet at least.
Then, the very rapidly expanding pure, raw energy somehow began to convert ( *INEXPLICABLY* ) into matter! After that, while the original energy continued to expand, even as some of the energy ( *INEXPLICABLY* ) was converted to matter², some of this new matter ( *INEXPLICABLY* ) further converted to anti-matter.
And it gets even better still!
While all that pure, raw energy continued to expand ( still at rates way outside our known and understood laws of physics ) over the next few billion years ( so.. perhaps 8 to 9 ish, billion years ago?? ) as some of that energy continued to be converted to matter ( even as some of that newly formed matter also somehow continued to be converted to anti-matter ) somehow some of the original inorganic matter began to ( INEXPLICABLY ) convert into very simple life, #LUCA. This alleged very simple life, which is utterly speculative, ( the more we look, the more complex, simple-life forms are discovered to be ) is both wholly undefined and utterly ill-defined as form(s) of organic matter, which Krauss calls “life”. This alleged very simple “life”, according to the many “atheists”, possibly were first formed in the dark reaches of the Universe.
And then, somehow ( *INEXPLICABLY* ) the process slowed down, and over the next few billion years ( from earlier, aforementioned 8 - 9 billion years ago, down to c.~ 3.8 to 4.3 years ago ) where we wind up with the first simple form of life forms here on Earth, #LUCA, eventually converting ( evolving ) into very complex 100 trillion celled organisms... Or...
Or, G-d ( Christ ) created everything, our Earth and the life on it, as well as the entire Universe, about c.~ 6,000 years ago, In Six Days!
But again... there's nothing in, or about the BBT that purports to describe or even defend the fantasy of endlessly ever-compressing gases somehow forming stars.
