Conflating Mary and G-d

Conflating Mary and G-d

Conflating Mary, The Mother of Jesus and G-d – by assigning to Mary the attributes of G-d, Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence, to Mary

Mary, the Mother of Jesus – Alive, Dead, Ever Virgin, Sinless?

Many point out that our physical bodies are very temporary, and that our physical bodies do not have to be ‘alive’ for a person to be ‘alive in heaven’ with the Lord. - Luke 20:38.  Scripture says “…to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” - 2 Corinthians 5:8  Therefore, it is argued that my assertions that Mary’s mortal body is dead, is irrelevant.

I will give you folks this, you’re 100% correct, ‘our physical bodies are temporary’, VERY temporary!  As far as us being alive, right now, I will also say this:  Jesus promised Dismas[1] “Today you’ll be with me in Paradise”[2], thus in that same sense, Mary the mother of Jesus, just as every single other saint[3] who has lived and died since the Incarnation of Jesus, is unquestionably alive, yes!

Just remember that we cannot negate the fact that Mary was a sinner[4], in NEED of a Saviour[5].  Additionally, it is given unto man (all men, unless expressly described in Scripture) to die once, then FACE JUDGEMENT[6], and this includes Mary, the mother of Jesus.  Therefore, while again I 100% agree that, in the sense of being outside the realms of the finite time, as we understand time, Mary (and ALL saints[3]) is alive with Christ right now, we cannot forget the REST OF SCRIPTURE.

And this brings us to, “the dead in Christ will rise first”[7], “THEN we who are alive…  will be caught up together with them… to meet the Lord…”[8], clearly showing that Mary, and ALL saints[3] are, in terms of our finite understanding of all things G-d (Christ) is DEAD!  Note also here that Jesus will be raising all the dead, including those NOT in Christ to face judgement[9]

RC’s will tell you:

“Mary is special”, because their god somehow looked at her and thought ‘Wow, what a perfect girl!  She’s so impressive, I am going to make her my baby mamma’.  The Bible says that Mary is special simply because G-d chose her, period.[10]

RC’s will tell you:

Mary remained ever virgin.  The Scriptures say that Mary had many other children[11]

RC’s will tell you that their mary, as this meme suggests, “is ALL powerful”.  That claim is both blasphemous, and it is also patently false.  As pointed out above, Mary was a sinner[4], in NEED of a Saviour[5], who faced, as all men face dying once, then FACE JUDGEMENT[6].

RC’s will try and contrast prayers to (and FOR) their DEAD mary (and other ‘saints’[13]), which is necromancy that is strictly forbidden[12], with y’all asking your, VERY MUCH ALIVE AND AMONGST THE LIVING, brother, sister, mom, dad, cousin, uncle, aunt, best friend etc., to “pray for you, or a loved one.”  The Scripture says that we are to pray on to G-d (Christ)[14], and to G-d alone.  Additionally, RC’s will conflate G-d hearing the prayers for others[15] (saints [3]) with their ‘prayers to their DEAD mary, and ‘saints’[13]

Bottom line folks, we Christians are to pray to the Father, in Jesus name[16], for others who remain amongst the living, among us.  We are neither to pray to, or even for, the DEAD, ever![17]

Shalom

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”

How does one get to “know” Jesus?  Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]  How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything?  Well because the Bible tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]

And for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
