KJVonly-ism, a death trap and a CULT
KJVonly-ism,
the BS message that only The KJV is a real Bible. And while most, if not all, KJVonly
proponents lack the backbone, and the honesty, to admit that they view those
who read from 'other than' the KJV as "fake Christians"; and fewer
still would ever dare actually say those words, “fake Christian”, yet if you follow the logic of the satanic
KJVonly-ists, and pull your heads out of the sands of denial (and no I mean not
that river in Egypt):
“If
you are reading from any Bible, other than a KJV, you are first off reading a
bastardised, bent on glorifying satan false Bible which contains a false Gospel, and second that false Gospel that you are being taught
about, contains teachings about, and focuses on, a false Messiah..."
you
will see that is precisely what they do say (by implication) daily! Call those who read anything other than a
KJV, a “fake Christian” by
implication.
Think
about it, what does saying – “...if one is reading a bastardised... glorifying
satan false bible, about a false Messiah..." ergo, one's
faith is in a false Messiah, from a false Bible, that contains a false Gospel.” – even mean, except that
one cannot possibly be anything but a “fake
Christian”?
Even
if a very few indeed, amongst the KJVonly-ism CULT, have the cajones to say so
plainly, this can be the only logical conclusion based upon the stand of
KJVonly-ism, they call ALL who read other than KJV Bibles “fake Christians”.
So
goes it with the prosperity teachers also, and those who HATE (read are jealous
of them also) the prosperity teachers... Most of these KJVonly types that I
speak to, do two things with GREAT frequency:
A)
when pressed about how bigoted their KJVonly-ism view is, they almost always
back pedal, and make claims like - 'I never said reading other bibles makes one
a fake Christian... Bovine
Excrement!
And
B ) - their posts elsewhere continue to contain the familiar BIGOTED stands
that say, by implication, that those who read from 'other than' the KJV are not real Christians...
To
continue, “Omnipotent”, “Calvary”, “Jehovah” and “Holy Ghost" – Four Words
(or word-sets) that the KJVonly-ists love to raise yuuuuuuge (sorry,could not
resist) objections to as being absent from other Bibles. O.K., let's examine each word, one-by-one,
and examine also both its frequency in, and application in, the KJV, shall
we? Let's begin by examining the alleged
removal of words like:
"Omnipotent",
"Calvary", "Jehovah" and "Holy Ghost", shall
we! Have these words really been
'removed' from other inferior bibles,
like say for instance the NIV?
The
word omnipotent appears once, and once only, in the KJV, and that is Rev 19:6.
Omnipotent
– Rev 19:6, KJV… “...the Lord God omnipotent
reigneth…” and in the NIV it says – “…Lord
God Almighty reigns…”… is Almighty the same as omnipotent? Clearly, they are distinct words, but what
does each word mean?

Next
let’s look at the word set, “Holy Ghost”, these words appear 89 times in the
KJV. And while I will not waste my time doing an exhaustive comparison, I did
spot check a handful randomly, and found without exception that the NIV used
“Holy Spirit” as a replacement for "Holy Ghost". Oh my gawd, GASP... With perhaps the single most poignant example
being in John 14:26.
John
14:26 KJV – “…the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name…”, and in the NIV – “…the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father
will send in my name…” – thus to the nay-saying KJVonly-ism CULTists I say
this. Are you Nucking Futz? Are you really, so wholly inept that you
honestly believe that the NIV rendering is so drastically different from the
KJV that it removes Christ’s, or the Holy Spirit’s, Deity? Or, are you really,
so flamboyantly arrogant that you simply believe that no one else will see the
sheer folly, the utter stupidity of these asinine claims of yours that, the NIV
removes Christ’s or the Holy Spirit’s Deity?
In
other words, you nay-saying KJVonly-ism CULTists #AYCFS*? or #AYSFAJ*?
Next
let’s look at the words Calvary, and then also check out the word Jehovah,
shall we.
The
words Calvary and Jehovah appear one (1) and seven (7) times respectively in
the KJV. In the case of the word
Calvary, in the NIV in Luke 23:33 it is rendered as ‘a place called The Skull’, likewise in the ESV, HCSB
and even in Young's Literal Translation. And in the Aramaic Bible in Plain English it
is rendered as – “... a certain place called
Qarqpatha…”
Now
words such as, Qarqpatha, Golgotha, Calvary or… ‘a place called The Skull’, all
mean essentially the same thing.
Interestingly also... the word
Golgotha which is in the evidently bastardized NIV, actually appears three (3) times in the KJV,
and the context for all three uses of Golgotha is absolutely identical to the
one lone use of Calvary. Calvary appears
in Luke 23, while Golgotha appears in Matthew 27, Mark
15 and John 19, in the KJV. AND Without Exception, the word Golgotha as
used in the KJV, is also the word used in the NIV. Thus once more I believe that if one insists
that the swapping of one such word (word set) is akin to an attempt to deny the
Deity of Christ or the Holy Spirit, I have but one question you - #AYCFS? or
#AYSAFAJ?
Concerning
the word Jehovah, even here the NIV renders it as – “The Lord Will Provide”, “The Lord is my Banner” and “The Lord Is Peace”
In
Genesis 22:14 we read, KJV – “…Jehovah-jireh…”
which means “The Lord my Provider”, and interestingly in the NIV Genesis 22:14
is rendered – “…The Lord Will Provide..”
In
Exodus 17:15 we read, KJV – “…Jehovah-nissi…”
which means “The Lord Who is my Banner”, and interestingly in the NIV Exodus
17:15 is rendered – “…The Lord is my Banner…”
and
in
In
Judges 6:24 we read, KJV – “…Jehovah-shalom…”
which means “The Lord Who Is Peace”, and interestingly in the NIV Judges 6:24
is rendered – “…The Lord Is Peace…”
Thus,
for one final time I am wholly motivated to ask of any who proclaims that the
NIV is a Christ, or Holy Spirit, “Deity-denying” piece of trash… #AYCFS*? or
#AYSFAJ*?
“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”
“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”
How
does one get to “know” Jesus? Simple,
invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and
knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with
him, and he with me.” [Revelation
3:20 NIV] How can be assured that this Jesus stuff
means anything? Well because the Bible
tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:
“If
you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that
God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart
that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess
your faith and are saved.” [Romans
10:9-10 NIV]
And
for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s
confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the
Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and
knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

John
3:16 says: “For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.”
And
John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No
one comes to the Father except through me.”
