Adam to Moses in 560 Words

Adam to Moses in 560 Words

Adam to Moses in 560 Words (see footnotes)

In the beginning, nearly 5,781 years (+/- 150 years) ago

In the beginning, nearly 5,781 years ago, in the year 1 Anno Mundi (AM) (perhaps referred to as “year zero” ∅) or about 3,850 BC, +/- 150 years, G-d (Christ), Elohim, created hashomayim (the Heavens, Himel) and haaretz (the Earth). – Bereshis (Genesis) 1:1, see also Shemot (Exodus) 20:11 & Shemot (Exodus) 31:17

Some c.~ 1,656 years later1

Some c.~ 1,656 years later, in the year 1656 AM +/- 75 years, or about 2205 BC +/- 75 years, “In the six hundredth year of Noach’s (Noah’s) life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of Shomayim (the Heavens) were opened.” – Bereshis (Genesis) 7:11  Over the course of the next 40 days - “… kol basar (all flesh) perished that moved upon ha’aretz, (Every living thing that moved on land perished) both of Oph, and of Behemah, and of Beast, and of every Swarming Thing that swarms upon ha’aretz, and kol haadam; (birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.)” - Bereshis (Genesis) 7:21

Roughly a year later, in the year 1657 AM +/- 75 years, or about 2204 BC, the flood waters had receded sufficiently for Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their wives, along with the myriad animals on the Ark, to disembark, and began their new lives.4

In the year 1657 AM +/- 75 years, or 2204 BC +/- 75 years, with the flood waters receding, about a year after the flood began, in 1656 AM we read - “And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the mayim (water) were dried up from off ha’aretz (Earth); and Noach removed the mikhseh (covering) of the tevah (ark), and looked, and, hinei (saw that), the surface of the adamah (ground) was dry.” – Bereshis (Genesis) 8:13 - 18

The descendants of Adam, from Day Six, in 1 AM through c.~ 1656 AM, had to be (at a minimum) several Two Billion3.  Much more likely, several billion, with at least a statistical chance at nearly 10 trillion4.  Yet… only eight (8) humans survived.  Alas, I digress, back to tracing humankind from Adam to Moses.

From the conclusion of the flood, through to the birth Abraham, the timeframe encompasses nearly 4005 years (393 years), bringing us to 2,050 AM (years since the creation of Adam), or roughly 1811 BC.  In the c.~ 400 years from Shem to Abraham, we have some characters of notable notoriety, namely Nimrod6, Job7 and of course a Pharaoh8 or two!

Continuing our quest of tracing humankind from Adam to Moses, now will need to peruse a few different Chapters from Genesis, to follow the genealogies.  From Abraham to Joseph, we have approximately 250 years9.  (Jacob’s name was changed to Israel10)  This brings us to about 2,300 AM, or roughly 1561 BC.  For the final three people, in this review of the line from Adam to Moses, being Kohath, Amram and then Moses, we need to work backwards a little bit from when history tells us Moses lived11, and take into account three other things, A) - that Moses is actually a descendent of Levi’s (Levi is Joseph’s older brother12), and not a descendant of Joseph, B) - that up to this point in the process of tracking Adam to Moses, we have already covered a timespan of some c.~ 2,300 years out of a total c.~ 2,500 years +/- 75 years since Adam (leaving only about c.~200 years +/- 50 years), and C) of the c.~ 425 years from Abraham to Moses, we have covered some c.~ 250 years, ergo… once again, we have approximately 175 years +/- 25 years left unaccounted for.  With A, B and C in mind, let us now consider the info we do have.

Moses, we are told, lived to be 12013 years of age.   If pick a single date, say 126714 BC (out of a date range of 1472 BC - 1251 BC) for estimating Moses’ year of death, taking what we know about Moses being 12013 years old when he passed away, we can approximate his year of birth at c.~ 1491 BC (this would also equate to approximately 2,370 AM) these numbers would move, smaller or larger with the date ranges provided, depending on source(s) relied on.  Continuing this process

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”

How does one get to “know” Jesus?  Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]  How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything?  Well because the Bible tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]

And for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Well, that’s it, that’s Da Bauz’s Take on, “Adam to Moses in 560 Words” – this 17th day of June 2021 © 2021, All Rights Reserved. wr (Da Bauz, Christian Zionist “creationist” too!)

22 Jacob to Joseph 91 – vs Genesis 47:28, 41:46 & 45:6

We get, if we add the ages of the first named sons, beginning with Abraham’s son through to the birth of Joseph, c.~ 250 (251) years.  Adding 250 to the previously established 2,050, we arrive at – c.~ 2,300 years from Adam’s creation to Joseph’s birth, or c.~ 1561 BC.

10 - Jacob undergoes a name change, and is henceforth known as Israel - Genesis 32:22 - 32

11 - For Moses, according to - https://bit.ly/3wwRGvI - “The World History Encyclopedia” we are told ‘Moses lived around 1400 BC’, additionally Mr. William G. Dever (2001). ISBN 978-0-8028-2126-3. “A Moses-like figure may have existed somewhere in southern Transjordan in the mid-late 13th century s.c., where many scholars think the biblical traditions concerning the god Yahweh arose.” – emphasis in bold and underscored, mine

12 - Levi born to Jacob’s wife Leah - Genesis 35:23

13 - Moses died at the age of 120 - Deuteronomy 34:7

14 - From History and Genesis, “Estimates from historical records and Biblical texts in 199 words”

22 - Jacob to Levi 67 – estimated year of birth, 1585 BC (or 2,276 AM), for Levi

23 - Levi to Kohath 20 – estimated year of birth, 1565 BC (or 2,296 AM), for Kohath - interestingly about four years before Joseph was born

24 - Kohath to Amram 42 – estimated year of birth, 1523 BC (or 2,338 AM), for Amram

And finally, 25 - Amram to Moses 136 – estimated year of birth, 1387 BC (or 2,474 AM), for Moses.

We get, if we add the ages of these three people (excluding Levi), 20 + 42 + 136 = 198 years, bearing in mind that the ages listed are estimates.  Yes, the 67 years for Levi are not counted, because Levi’s 67 years are already included in (and therefore counted with) the 250 years described in Note 9 above.  Taking away Moses’ 120 years before passing away, and we arrive at an estimated year of death of 1267 BC.  Adding 198 to the previously established 2,276 when Levi was born, we arrive at – c.~ 2,476 years from Adam’s creation to Moses’ birth, or c.~ 1387 BC.

THE “PROSPERITY HERESY...” OR “THE HERESY OF THE PROSPERITY MESSAGE” HERESY? REALLY?

The “Prosperity heresy...” or “The Heresy of the Prosperity message” Heresy?  Really?

Will you, or will you NOT, cut the CRAP people?

Either define the alleged departure(s) from the "primary Christian doctrine(s)" / fundamental Core Tenets of the Christian Faith, and... AND specifically define, with examples of these alleged departures from the "primary Christian doctrine", or... Or, shut the hell up!

Better still, first define what this / these alleged "primary Christian doctrine(s)" is or are?

Let me help you out:

Tenets of the Christian Faith (a.k.a. "primary Christian doctrines)

Following is a list that I feel is a good (although NOT necessarily exhaustive) list of the Core Tenets of the Christian Faith:

i.                    The Virgin birth of Jesus the Christ / Yeshua ha Mashiach (Rabbi Yeshua bar Yosef)

ii.                  That Jesus is the Son of G-d

iii.                The Deity of Jesus, as He is G-d

iv.                That Jesus the Christ is the ONLY way to G-d the Father

v.                  That we Are Saved by Grace Through Faith – Not by Works

vi.                The INCARNATION of Jesus Christ (Word made Flesh)

vii.              The actual Death of Jesus

viii.            The Bodily Resurrection of Christ

ix.                The Ascension of Christ

x.                  The Holy Bible is the Inspired and Infallible Word of G-d (Christ)

xi.                The Holy Trinity

xii.              The Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah / Yeshua ha Mashiach (Rabbi Yeshua bar Yosef)

If we can agree, at least in principle, on the above 12 points, great.  If not, feel free to SPECIFICALLY identify what it is that is errant, or incorrect, about the 12 points listed.

From there, then, please, absolutely feel free to demonstrate, precisely what it is, out those 12 points, that Copeland, Jakes, Osteen violates.

I'll even begin,

Osteen violates xi - "The Holy Trinity" and iii "The Deity of Jesus, as He is G-d" - in that Osteen preaches Mormonism (which teaches Jesus is a created being, and half-sibling to Lucifer) is a valid form of Christianity.  That, "the Mormonism is valid" claim is what marks Osteen a heretic.  Not his bank account, his house, his cars, or jet(s?).

You ask a really asinine question, a question that really doesn't even deserve the dignity of being acknowledged, much less a response, nonetheless, I will respond:

RE: "where is... prosperity... taught anywhere in the Bible?" (Yes, I know, I very intentionally left out the jackassery of the two other words you used, "...THE prosperity GOSPEL...")

Jeremiah 29:11, comes to mind, as a direct statement of a direct - “... declaration of prosperity in the Bible...” – “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” - HCSB, see also Jeremiah 30:18; John 10:10; Luke 6:38...

The #WoF (Word of Faith) movement (unless you can show me specifics of where it does) does NOT teach anything that is, in any way, in direct contradiction of any of the points in my above list of twelve.  At least not that I'm aware of.  If you have a specific example of any express departure(s) from those 12 points, feel free to chime in.

If, on the other hand folks, you or any of your friends, feel some deep burning need to point to Matthew 19:21, Mark 10:21 & Luke 18:22 and saying... – “See... see!  Jesus done told the rich young ruler to sell ALL that he had, and give ALL of it away..."

I've but one question for ALL of you (or anyone else that loves to hone in on Matthew 19:21, Mark 10:21 & Luke 18:22):

Have you personally SOLD EVERYTHING, house, clothing, cars, motorcycles, boats, jewelry, jet-skis, etc., and are you living in "just the clothes on your back, with no spares, and homeless, as Jesus evidently was" (at least according to those who LOVE to hate the WoF, claim that Jesus was)?  If not, why not?  How dare you violate Matthew 19:21, Mark 10:21 & Luke 18:22!!!

Of course - the rich young ruler - was but only one of three (really one of FOUR) very wealthy people noted in the various exchanges with Jesus.  With respect to the other two, Nicodemus and Zacchaeus, unless my translation of the Bible is wrong, Jesus said NOTHING to them about – “Selling EVERYTHING (cars, house, boat, jet-sky, motorcycle, clothes, jewelry, leather goods, etc.) and giving it ALL away to the poor”.  Nope, in the cases of both Nicodemus and Zacchaeus, Jesus was silent about their respective wealth.

Unless your Bible renders John 3:1 - 15 and Luke 19:1 - 10 thusly?

“Whoa, Nicodemus, you're TOO rich for heaven...” John 3:1 - 15, you know what I mean? or

“Wow, Zacchaeus I can't preach to you until you're poorer.” - Luke 19:1 - 10

Oh, and then there's that other rich dude, what was his name... oh yeah, Joseph of Arimathea, who donated his Tomb for Jesus' burial...

Too bad Jesus didn't direct Joseph of Arimathea to – “Sell ALL and to give ALL away” - as He so very clearly did with that Rich Young Ruler - Matthew 19:21, Mark 10:21 & Luke 18:22!

Image that... had Jesus just been effective enough in His Earthly Ministry to have told Joseph of Arimathea to – “Sell ALL and to give ALL away” - as He so very clearly did with that Rich Young Ruler in Matthew 19:21, Mark 10:21 & Luke 18:22, then perhaps Joseph of Arimathea wouldn't also be forever lost, due to the ‘heresy of Prosperity...’ not to mention, of course, had Jesus told Joseph of Arimathea to – “Sell ALL, and give ALL away” - there'd be no tomb for Jesus...

But sure, - “The prosperity message” - is both unbiblical and anti-Gospel... ok *sigh* 😒🙄

Above all else folks, please, please, please always remember that there's just absolutely #noKnowledgeAbsentGd!

Religions and Religious Systems, Suck

While we were still sinners, Christ shed His innocent Blood

Religion Sucks

Religions and Religious Systems the world over share one common theme:

Religion (Organized Religion ⁵) Sucks

Adherents of ALL¹ Religious System(s) are expected, even required, to meet said Religious System(s)' Deity(ies)' (or the Religious System's ideological) standard(s) of conduct

The sole purpose, and function, of Religious Systems is to control the masses... to manipulate adherents of the various Religious Systems into submissive compliance with the Religious Systems' Deity's / deities' / ideologies' will, or wills.

Many will argue / point out that - "Don't you know that "Atheism" cannot be a religion, as it has no deity!"  A similar claim has been made by some that Satanism is not really a religion either, because it has no formal deity... the contemporary argument is that - "Satanism is a philosophy, and that "satan" is just an ideology, or an ideological ideal, but not really a deity."  Well... Buddhism has no formal deity either, and it is recognized as a religion / Religious System.

Do Religious Systems like Islam, Judaism, Satanism, Buddhism and even religious-christianity, hold adherents to some expectation of meeting certain standards of conduct, as a requisite condition of love from (or acceptance by) said Religious System's deity / deities / ideological ideals?  I do believe so, yes.

Let us look at Satanism, first - "Memberships may be terminated... at the discretion of the ruling body of the Church of Satan consisting of the High Priest, the High Priestess, and the Council of Nine." ³ and "...membership operates on a system of degrees... One must apply *and be approved* for an active membership, and this is subject to one's answers to a lengthy series of questions. Promotion to... higher degree[s] is by invitation only, and the requirements for each degree are not open to the public." - a.k.a. "Meet certain standards of conduct, as a requisite condition of acceptance by said Religious System's ideological ideals."

Next, let us look at Judaism... does Judaism, Orthodox or Reform, require or at least infer that its adherents meet certain minimum standards (G-d's perfect standards) to be accepted?  Again, it is my very firm belief that, "yes, Judaism (both Orthodox and Reform) has requisite conditions, for acquisition and sustention, of membership within its Religious System."  The TaNaKh, or Christian Old Testament, is awash with examples, beginning with Adam, carrying through to the Persian king, Cyrus, II Chronicles 36:23 - "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia..." - of people citing, describing, declaring standards of conduct by the adherents of the Religious System.  We begin with a simple, single, albeit 23-word-long Command from G-d (Christ) - "...but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” - Genesis 2:17, ESV.  From the disobedience to that one single Command, and the consequences attached to disobedience, we arrive at first - the Seven Noahide Laws (which come from the Talmud, ergo NOT really Biblical laws - ²), the Seven Noahide Laws² are:

"1. Do not deny God (no idolatry).
2. Do not murder.
3. Do not steal.
4. Do not engage in sexual immorality.
5. Do not blaspheme.
6. Do not eat of a live animal (no eating flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive).
7. Establish courts and legal systems to ensure obedience of these laws." ²

The 6th one is particularly intriguing, even with the "Got Questions" qualifier in parentheses included (which marries with Genesis 9:4, very well), because of what we read in Genesis Chapter Nine, verse 3 - "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you." - you see, pre-flood, all animal life was intended to be vegetarian.  It is my firm belief that, part of the - "...wickedness of man [that] was great in the earth..." - Genesis 6:5, was the consumption of meat, animal flesh (cooked and raw).  I assert this because, A) - first and foremost, the wording of Genesis 1:29 & 30 support this view.  This is1 where G-d said to His creatures, both human and animals alike:

“29 Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed... on... the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit... for food. 30 And to every beast... bird... and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.”

"I give you every green plant for food”!!  No mention of anyone, human or animal, being told to eat meat.  And B) - the mere fact that G-d saw fit to inspire Noah to declare, as Moses recorded later, what we read in Genesis 9:3

Continuing on from the Seven Noahide Laws, we have the "Ten Commandments", Deuteronomy 5:1 - 21 and Exodus 20:1 - 17, given by G-d, yeah even written (both times) directly by the very finger of G-d (Christ) - Exodus 31:18 & Deuteronomy 9:10 - in fact, with the original tablets of the Ten Commandments, we're told very plainly that G-d orated these Commandments - "The LORD spoke these commands in a loud voice to your entire assembly from the fire, cloud..." - Deuteronomy 5:22 HCSB - G-d spoke, in a loud voice, to the entire assembly (and He did so) before He scribed the Ten Commandments into the stone tablets...

And then, continuing through the remaining Books of the Old Testament (TaNaKh) with inputs from the Talmud, we find some 613 additional Rabbinical Commands ⁴, yet we know that “The Just Shall Live by Faith6 from Scripture.  And a simple theme that can be seen, from Adam's fall, through to Babylonian exile, is that man, very simply put, cannot in any way, shape or form, meet G-d's standards.  Humankind, it would seem, is hopelessly lost... and really... we are, outside of Christ that is, at least.  So, question... did G-d spend (as the "atheists", satanists, and other nay-sayers claim) nearly 4,000 years, from Adam to Jesus, trying in vain to redeem man?

Does the Old Testament / TaNaKh then depict a hapless, emaciated, milquetoast gawd?  I certainly do not think so, not for one micro-second.  Instead, what the 4,000 years of seemingly never-ending addition of new laws depicts, in my view, is a G-d who is so patient, in His all-knowing way about humankind's stiff-necked pride, and so compassionate toward His creation, humans, and so passionate about His plan of Salvation for His creation, humans that...

That He invested nearly 4,000 years of pre-recorded and recorded history (up to roughly c.~ 400 BC) to lay out the Incontrovertible facts that - man cannot redeem himself! That man cannot, in and of himself, meet Judaism's Deity's standard(s) of conduct

Now that's ^^^ love, patients, and devotion.

Third, let us explore religious-christianity, does religious-christianity (legalistic christianity) require, or at least infer that, its adherents meet certain minimum standards (G-d's perfect standards) to be accepted?  You tell me... are there legalistic christian Groups which tell their adherents - "you must obey, or you're either not truly sincere, or you're deluded.  Either way, Christ will say to you - "Depart from me, for I never knew you”.”?  I believe the answer to this to be, sadly (even if well intentioned) yes.

In short, Religious Systems require their adherents to:

comply with their deity's / deities' / ideological views or standard(s) of conduct

to (hopefully, yet without certainty) garner the acceptance, and approval of the Religious System's deity's / deities' / ideological ideals' set(s) of standards... Islam does this, Buddhism does this, Hinduism does this, Satanism does this, yes... even Judaism and religious-christianity do this.

wow, that is one tough gig!

Now consider Biblical Christianity...  what makes Biblical Christianity, and the Christian's G-d, who is Jesus the Christ / Yeshua ha Mashiach (Rabbi Yeshua bar Yosef) stand alone, apart, and wholly unique amongst tens of thousands, if not hundreds of millions of other deities?

"...G-d proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8, Berean Study Bible

While we were still sinners, Christ shed His innocent Blood, for us.  That folks, that ^^^ right there, is GOOD NEWS!
