Incarnation to Resurrection
Incarnation to Resurrection roughly three and one-half
years, in 12 weeks, Sunday through Friday (six days) per week
Day Fifty-five of Eighty-four:
Today, as we wrap up the Eighth Week of
our Twelve Week journey through THE Christmas story to THE Resurrection story,
we will explore that “… it is not
the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should
perish.” - Matthew 18:14, ESV We are, every single one of us, is, immeasurably
precious in our Heavenly Father’s eyes!
So much so that #JesusBled4You and #JesusDied4You. Remember, Jesus did - “… not come that [He] may call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.”
Luke 5:32, “Day Fifty”.
On Day Fifty-one we read about “…the
return of the seventy-two, Luke 10:17 - 20.” And we saw some evidence of the early
rumblings of adversarial religiosity amongst the
leaders of Jesus’ day, John 7:40 - 52. Continuing into “Day Fifty-two” we read about Jesus
testimony that He is “…the Light of the World.” - John 8:12 - 30
and that “The
Truth [truly] Will Set You Free”, John 8:31 - 38.
We also contemplated Pilate asking Jesus - “What is truth?” - John 18:37-38. And on “Day fifty-three” we looked at what,
in my view, is one of the most powerful “I AM” declarations recorded in the
entire Bible - John 8:58. We closed off Day Fifty-three with this simple prayer
- “please Lord G-d, open the eyes of the readers to see, Jesus said “before
Abraham was, ‘I AM’.” Amen.”.
Yesterday, on “Day Fifty-four”, we took a sort
of stroll down memory lane, and we looked at a review of “The Sign of Jonah” as recorded in
Matthew 12:38 - 42. We also read a thoughtful
little teaching about FORGIVENESS… which brings us into today’s text… “Day
Fifty-five” where once more we read of Jesus saying - “Beware of the
leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy” - Luke 12:1, ESV,
a subject we contemplated in brevity back on Monday, February 19th,2018
with “Blog
Day Forty-four.” As with all forms of leaven, it takes not very much
to infect large quantities.
A good place to wrap up today’s text might be, John 10:22 - 42, where Jesus tells a small crowd that “He and the Father are ONE”.

That too right

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”
How does one get to “know” Jesus? Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus
says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and
opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]
How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything? Well because the Bible tells us so, as the
Apostle Paul wrote:
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is
Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be
saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it
is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]
And for those of you who say to me, I
can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my
time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear
of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is
understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]
If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters
from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you
can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John
14!
John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.”
And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am
the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me.”
