Incarnation to Resurrection, Day Twenty-six

Incarnation to Resurrection

#‎RAD #‎ATEND G-d (Christ) #‎IIC714

Incarnation to Resurrection roughly three and one-half years, in 12 weeks, Sunday through Friday (six days) per week

Day Twenty-six of Eighty-four:

There are some deeply profound truths, perhaps truths that many of us overlook, found in the reading for today. To begin, we’ll review “The Sign of Jonah” as we contemplate how this proclamation by Jesus both supports, and even enforces, not only ‘His story’ and who He is, but also reinforces ‘history’ and TaNaKh’s[1] (the Old Testament’s) the story of Jonah.  And we’ll cover how “A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit.”   See also the January 19th and January 26th posts which also refer to the May 2012 Blog, “KNOW THEM BY...” for some additional thoughts on today’s text, on how “A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit.”

As we wrap up the text from Matthew today, we’ll explore an interesting message about “
doing a job only part way, and the risks involved”, Matthew 12:43-45 see also Luke 11:24-26.  Once more, today, we’ll read the condensed version of The Lord’s Prayer as previously noted on the 23rd of January & 26th of January, in Luke 11:2- 4.  It is interesting today that we read of Jesus being accused of “casting out demons by Beelzebul, Black magic or some other devil” what Jesus says in response to these silly, really asinine, accusations.  Jesus said: “…if by beelzebul I drive out demons, by whom do your sons drive them out?  But if by the finger of GodI drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you.” Luke 11:19 – 20, TLV  Jesus very simply said – “If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse.”, Luke 11:23, MSG

And that, right there ^ ^ ^ that, my friends, is GOOD NEWS!

We’ll leave reading the rest of the text for you individually.

I’ve taken the liberty of assembling a weekly chart of daily readings to cover the chronology

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”

How does one get to “know” Jesus?  Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]  How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything?  Well because the Bible tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]

And for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
