Incarnation to Resurrection
#RAD #ATEND G-d (Christ) #IIC714
Incarnation to Resurrection roughly three and one-half
years, in 12 weeks, Sunday through Friday (six days) per week
Day Eleven of Eighty-four:
Today, we’ll review the calling of the
first Disciples, as well as learn about the calling of Levi, the Tax Collector; Jesus being the Lord of the Sabbath, Fasting
and of course numerous healings by Jesus.
We’ll also learn of John the Baptist’s teaching that he is “not the Christ…”, yet he openly referred to himself as a ‘friend of
the bridegroom [Christ’s]’. In this
section of text we’ll discover how John the Baptist pointed only to Jesus. And of the Father’s enormous love for Jesus.
Today we’re also taught a great lesson on
Today we’re also taught a great lesson on
And we’ll read
these immortal words – “Whoever believes* in the Son has eternal life” – from John the Baptist. *Believing in this sense is unique and
distinct from the sort of ‘believing in something, or even someone, merely as a
matter of fact. For example, many people
will openly admit that they ‘believe in’ Adolf Hitler. This declaration of ‘belief in’ is rarely, if
ever (unless someone is truly a very sick individual) a testimony to their
approval of, or even tolerance of (much less endorsement of) Hitler’s vile evil
ways. Although t’is the same Greek word,
πιστεύω, used here in James 2:19 – “You believe that
God is One; you do well; the demons also believe and tremble”, Aramaic Bible in Plain English, as found in John
3:16 & 36, the context suggests that the meaning here is more along the
lines of merely believing that G-d is real, as opposed to trusting G-d with
everything in our lives, right down to our ability to take our very next
breath.
*An important note
here about the word “believes” as found both here in John 3:36, and earlier in John 3:16, the Greek word used is pisteuó (πιστεύω) and literally
means to “have faith in”; “trust in”; and for us to be “entrusted” in G-d’s
care. This is in much the same way as a small child
trusts in, believes in, and even has faith in the fact that his / her mommy &
daddy will feed, clothe and protect him or her, just as our Heavenly Father, by
the power of G-d the Holy Ghost has our backs, and only wants good
things for us, Matthew 7:11 b.
Jesus is also recognized as a prophet in the text from John today. And Jesus, in his own Words declares – “I am He” – John 4:26, MSG speaking of the Messiah (Christ). In His discourse with the Samarian woman at the well, which is just in and of itself an amazingly poignant study, we read these amazing Words of Jesus:
“…whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:14, ESV

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”
How does one get to “know” Jesus? Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus
says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and
opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]
How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything? Well because the Bible tells us so, as the
Apostle Paul wrote:
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is
Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be
saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it
is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]
And for those of you who say to me, I
can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my
time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear
of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is
understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]
If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters
from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you
can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John
14!
John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.”
And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am
the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me.”
Well that’s it, that’s Da Bauz’s Take on, “Incarnation
