Incarnation to Resurrection, Day Six

Incarnation to Resurrection

#‎RAD #‎ATEND G-d (Christ) #‎IIC714

Incarnation to Resurrection roughly three and one-half years, in 12 weeks, Sunday through Friday (six days) per week

Day Six of Eighty-four:

Today, as we wrap up the First Week of our Twelve Week journey through THE Christmas story to THE Resurrection story, we will see how the story continues as we read in
Matthew 2:16-23 about the third and final segment of our three-part review of the account of “The Slaughter of the Innocents”[1].  We’ll read of Joseph, Mary and the child Jesus and their return to Eretz Yisroel following the death of the evil king Herod.   Later we’ll read of perhaps one of the single most profound things any boy of approximately 12-years-of-age could ever say:

Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?”

And we’ll close this First Week off with two things:

First a review of the previous days readings, and then second with the text from
John 1:16-18.

On Day One we reviewed four (4) different Old Testament (TaNaKh [2]) passages beginning with
Isaiah 9:5 & 6 followed by Psalm 89:4 & 5 and II Samuel 7:12 – 16, and then also Deuteronomy 18:15 – 22 proclaiming the coming of Messiah.  We also looked at G-d’s eternal sovereignty through Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Proverbs 8:23.  Continuing on with Day Two we review the Messianic Prophecies of the Virgin Birth, Isaiah 7:14 fulfilled Matthew 1:23. And we saw some background information of Jesus’ cousin, the son of Mary’s cousin Elizabeth, John the Baptist’s birth.

On Days Three and Four we read of Zechariah naming John and of both trek to Bethlehem for the census, and later the visit of the Magi (Wise men), which introduces the First of the Three part sidebar story on “The Slaughter of the Innocents”[1]

Next, on Day Five we read of the Angel’s warning to Joseph and Mary to ‘flee to Egypt’ for the safety of the Baby, all in the midst of great rejoicing and celebratory behaviour because of Messiah’s arrival.

And finally, today, on Day Six we are granted the opportunity, unique in all of history to meet, see, and even experience, the Living G-d, Jesus.  For in times past – “No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.” – John 1:18, ESV

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”

How does one get to “know” Jesus?  Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]  How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything?  Well because the Bible tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]

And for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Well that’s it, that’s Da Bauz’s Take on, “Incarnation to Resurrection, Day Six of Eighty-four” – this 12th day of January 2018 © 2018, All Rights Reserved. wr (Da Bauz, Christian Zionist “creationist” too!)
