Incarnation to Resurrection, Day One

Incarnation to Resurrection

#‎RAD #‎ATEND G-d (Christ) #‎IIC714

Incarnation to Resurrection roughly three and one-half years, in 12 weeks, Sunday through Friday (six days) per week

Day One of Eighty-four:

Way back in the 7th century B.C., Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 9:5 & 6 that – “…a child is born, the government will be upon His shoulder.  His Name will be called:
Isaiah was not alone in addressing / Prophesying about the coming Messiah, King David, in the 10th or 11th century B.C. also wrote, under Holy Ghost inspiration, that G-d – “...will build your throne from generation to generation.Psalm 89:4 & 5.  Additionally, in II Samuel 7:12 - 16, G-d tells us that He will - "...will raise up [David's] seed, [One] who will come forth from you after.." - David, and that G-d promised that He - "...will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me." back in the 10th century B.C. And still before King David’s day, Moses in the 14th or 15th century B.C. prophesied about the coming Messiah, in Deuteronomy 18:15 – 22 we read of numerous prophetic utterances pointing to the day of the Great Messiah.

Yet long before, immeasurably long before, Isaiah’s, King David’s, or even Moses’ day, even from before the foundation of the world, G-d the Father already had a plan to send G-d the Son (Jesus), the very word of G-d, to redeem mankind through the power of the G-d the Holy Ghost.  We see this in Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Proverbs 8:23 and even later in the New Testament, Philippians 2:6.  Thus when we read in Matthew, Luke and John Chapter One about the introduction to the Incarnation, we are first given a genealogical history for the seed of King David, from Abraham to Jesus, Matthew; then given an overview of eye-witness testimonies, prophecies, and some family ties between Jesus and John the Baptist, Luke; and then finally we read all of the above summed up in three verses (41 words), John 1:1 – 3.

I’ve taken the liberty of assembling a weekly chart of daily readings to cover the chronology

“No Jesus, NO peace” and yet, “Know Jesus, KNOW peace”

How does one get to “know” Jesus?  Simple, invite Him into your heart, as Jesus says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” [Revelation 3:20 NIV]  How can be assured that this Jesus stuff means anything?  Well because the Bible tells us so, as the Apostle Paul wrote:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” [Romans 10:9-10 NIV]

And for those of you who say to me, I can’t be bothered reading the Bible, “it’s confusing” or “it’s a waste of my time”, may I draw your attention to what the Bible says about wisdom: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10 NIV]

If nothing else, PLEASE read two chapters from the Bible – (don’t own one, sorry NO excuse, if you’re reading this, you can access this: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NIV) John 3 and John 14!

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And John 14:6 says: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
